Terms of Service

Last updated: March 29, 2026  ·  Operated by StaaS Fund  ·  Contact: [email protected]

By using Race Team Wiki, you agree to these terms. The key points: create accurate profiles, don't post illegal content, and pay your subscription if you subscribe. Premium is $10/month and you can cancel anytime from your dashboard with no penalty.

1. Service Description

Race Team Wiki (raceteam.wiki) is a public index and profile platform for racing teams across all motorsport disciplines. We catalog over 2,705 teams spanning 125 racing series and 49 countries worldwide — from Formula 1 factory squads to local karting families.

The service is operated by StaaS Fund ("we," "us," or "our"), a venture fund based in the State of Georgia, USA. These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of raceteam.wiki, including claiming a team profile, uploading content, and subscribing to premium features.

By accessing or using Race Team Wiki, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Account Registration

2.1 Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. By creating an account, you represent that you are 18 or older. Accounts for youth racing teams must be created and managed by an adult (parent, guardian, or team manager).

2.2 Accurate Information

You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information when registering and to keep your account information updated. Creating an account with false information — including a fake email address — is a violation of these Terms and grounds for termination.

2.3 One Account Per Person

Each person may hold one account. You may manage multiple team profiles from a single account. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent a suspension or limitation is prohibited.

2.4 Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

2.5 Claiming a Team

When you claim a team profile, you represent that you are an authorized representative of that team — a team owner, manager, driver, or other party with authority to manage the team's public profile. Claiming a team you are not associated with is impersonation and a violation of these Terms.

3. Premium Subscription

Premium Plan — $10/month

Everything in Free, plus featured placement, 10 photos, team logo, 5 support tiers, 3 video embeds, sponsor showcase, premium badge, priority Discover listing, and audience data. Billed monthly. Cancel anytime.

3.1 How to Subscribe

Premium subscriptions are available after you have claimed a team profile. To subscribe:

  1. Log in to your account at raceteam.wiki/dashboard.html
  2. Navigate to your team's dashboard
  3. Click "Upgrade to Premium"
  4. You will be redirected to Stripe's secure checkout to enter your payment details
  5. Once payment is confirmed, premium features are activated on your team profile immediately

3.2 Billing

Premium subscriptions are billed at $10.00 USD per month, charged to the payment method you provide at the time of subscription. Billing renews automatically on the same day of each month (your "billing date"). For example, if you subscribe on March 29, you will be billed again on April 29, May 29, and so on.

All payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe, a PCI-DSS Level 1 certified payment processor. Race Team Wiki never sees or stores your full credit card number. By subscribing, you authorize Stripe to charge your payment method on a recurring monthly basis.

3.3 How to Cancel Your Subscription

You may cancel your premium subscription at any time with no cancellation fee. Here is exactly how:

Cancellation Steps

  1. Log in to your account and go to your team dashboard
  2. Click "Manage Subscription"
  3. This opens the Stripe Customer Portal — a secure page hosted by Stripe
  4. In the Stripe Customer Portal, click "Cancel Plan"
  5. Confirm the cancellation when prompted
  6. Your premium features remain fully active until the end of your current billing period
  7. After the period ends, your account reverts to the free tier — your team profile remains live

You will receive a cancellation confirmation email from Stripe. You can also update your payment method, download invoices, and view billing history in the Stripe Customer Portal at any time.

3.4 What Happens After Cancellation

When your subscription ends:

We retain your premium content (photos, logo, etc.) for 90 days after cancellation. If you re-subscribe within 90 days, all content is restored. After 90 days of inactivity, premium media beyond the free tier limits may be removed.

3.5 Re-subscribing

You can re-subscribe to premium at any time from your team dashboard. Click "Upgrade to Premium" to start a new subscription. There is no penalty for canceling and re-subscribing.

3.6 Refund Policy

We do not offer refunds for partial billing months. If you cancel mid-month, your premium features remain active through the end of that billing period and you will not be charged for the following month. To avoid being charged for the next month, cancel before your billing date.

In exceptional circumstances (e.g., duplicate charges, billing errors), contact us at [email protected] and we will review your request promptly.

3.7 Failed Payments

If a monthly payment fails, Stripe will automatically retry the charge. If payment cannot be collected after retries, your subscription will be canceled and your account will revert to the free tier. You will be notified by email and can update your payment method in the Stripe Customer Portal to reinstate premium.

3.8 Price Changes

We reserve the right to change the subscription price. We will provide at least 30 days' notice of any price increase via email to the address on file. Your current billing rate is locked until the date of the price change, at which point your subscription will renew at the new rate unless you cancel before your next billing date.

4. Content Ownership and License

4.1 Your Content

You retain full ownership of all content you upload or submit to Race Team Wiki — including photos, logos, team descriptions, driver bios, race results, and any other material ("Your Content").

4.2 License Grant to Us

By uploading or submitting content to Race Team Wiki, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, reproduce, and distribute Your Content on raceteam.wiki and in promotional materials related to Race Team Wiki (e.g., social media posts, press coverage, site marketing). This license exists solely to operate and promote the platform. We will not sell Your Content to third parties.

4.3 Content Accuracy

You are responsible for the accuracy of Your Content. Do not upload content that misrepresents your team's affiliation, results, sponsors, or drivers. We may remove content that we determine, at our sole discretion, to be misleading or inaccurate.

4.4 Third-Party Content

Do not upload photos, videos, or other content that you do not have the right to use. You represent that you own or have obtained the necessary rights and permissions for all content you upload. Race Team Wiki is not responsible for copyright infringement by users.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Race Team Wiki to:

We reserve the right to remove any content and suspend or terminate any account that violates these standards, without prior notice.

6. AI-Generated Content

Race Team Wiki uses artificial intelligence to build and maintain the world's most comprehensive racing team index. Specifically:

We do not use AI to generate content about individuals without a basis in publicly available information. If you find AI-generated content on your team's profile that is inaccurate, claim your profile or contact us at [email protected] to request a correction.

7. Termination

7.1 By You

You may close your account at any time by emailing [email protected]. If you have an active premium subscription, cancel it first via the Stripe Customer Portal to avoid further charges. Account closure does not automatically cancel an active Stripe subscription.

7.2 By Us

We may suspend or terminate your account immediately, without prior notice, if we determine that:

If your account is terminated by us for cause, you are not entitled to a refund of any subscription fees paid. If we terminate your account for reasons other than a violation of these Terms, we will provide a pro-rated refund of any unused subscription period.

7.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases. Team profiles you own may be removed or returned to unclaimed status at our discretion. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including content licensing, limitation of liability, and dispute resolution) will survive.

8. Disclaimers

Race Team Wiki is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that:

Racing is an inherently high-risk activity. Nothing on Race Team Wiki constitutes legal, financial, tax, or safety advice. The LLC formation guidance and NIL information provided on this site is general information only — consult a qualified attorney or accountant for advice specific to your situation.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Race Team Wiki and StaaS Fund shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the service, including but not limited to loss of revenue, loss of data, loss of sponsorship opportunities, or damage to reputation.

In no event shall our total liability to you for all claims arising out of or related to these Terms or the service exceed the greater of: (a) the total amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) $50 USD.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitations on liability, so some of the above may not apply to you.

10. Governing Law

These Terms of Service and any disputes arising out of or related to them shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Georgia, United States of America, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. You consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Georgia for any disputes that proceed to litigation.

11. Dispute Resolution

11.1 Good Faith Negotiation

Before initiating any formal legal proceeding, you agree to first contact us at [email protected] and attempt to resolve the dispute in good faith. Most issues — billing questions, content disputes, account problems — can be resolved quickly this way. Give us 30 days to respond before escalating.

11.2 Binding Arbitration

If good faith negotiation fails, any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the service shall be resolved by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, rather than in court. You and Race Team Wiki each waive the right to a jury trial or to participate in a class action lawsuit.

11.3 Small Claims Exception

Either party may bring an individual claim in small claims court in the State of Georgia if the claim qualifies and remains in that court.

11.4 Class Action Waiver

You agree that any arbitration or legal proceeding shall be conducted solely on an individual basis and not in a class, consolidated, or representative action. You waive any right to bring or participate in a class action against Race Team Wiki.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service as our service evolves or as legal requirements change. When we make material changes, we will:

Continued use of Race Team Wiki after the effective date of any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree with the updated Terms, you should cancel your subscription and stop using the service before the changes take effect.
