IMSA

IMSA (International Motor Sports Association) is the sanctioning body for sports car racing in North America. It operates the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, which features the Hypercar, LMP2, LMP3, GTD Pro, and GTD classes. IMSA was founded in 1969 by John Bishop and Bob Hagemann and is now a subsidiary of NASCAR, LLC. The marquee IMSA event is the Rolex 24 at Daytona, held every January.
