Parc Ferme

Parc fermé (French for 'closed park') is the controlled area of a circuit where cars must be stored after qualifying and between sessions, during which no mechanical work is permitted other than specific allowed procedures. Under parc fermé conditions, teams cannot change setup, tyres, or major components between qualifying and the race start. The term also refers to the area where cars are parked immediately after the race for post-race scrutineering by officials.
