Extreme E is an FIA-sanctioned electric off-road racing series launched in 2021 by Formula E CEO Alejandro Agag. Each event is staged in a location facing an environmental crisis—the Arctic, Sahara, Amazon, Senegal, Himalayas. Teams run one male and one female driver per event in the ODYSSEY 21 electric SUV. Several Formula 1 teams, including Ferrari, McLaren, Alpine, and Aston Martin, fielded entries.
